RAC implementation schedule
After the completion of the RAC Demonstration audit, CMS has selected the following 4 companies to facilitate and manage the RAC process, each with jurisdiction to a particular geographically region within the United States. The RACs are responsible for audits to identify overpayment and underpayments for Medicare claims submitted by healthcare providers for payment by CMS.
